Overview
In June 2025, the special exhibition “Taiwan Pavilion” was held within the “AREA CIRCUS” manufacturing trade show, hosted by SUNTEX in Kawagoe, Saitama.
This collaborative project between Nirik and SUNTEX brought together four Taiwanese startups and Japanese manufacturers, resulting in real cross-border business opportunities.

Background of the Project
SUNTEX organizes the “Area Circus” annually to showcase manufacturing-related technologies. In 2025, they expressed interest in trying something different.
Recognizing this opportunity, Nirik proposed a unique concept: a Taiwan Pavilion featuring cutting-edge Taiwanese startups.
Japan’s manufacturing sector is constantly looking for innovative technologies, while Taiwanese startups are eager to collaborate with Japanese corporations. This strong alignment of needs made the collaboration a natural fit.
Our Approach and Key Focus Points
Nirik provided end-to-end support—from selecting and coordinating with Taiwanese startups to on-site assistance and promotional activities.
A key focus was ensuring the value of each Taiwanese solution was communicated clearly and effectively. To avoid the typical one-way communication often seen at large trade shows, Nirik assigned bilingual staff who understand both Japanese and Taiwanese business cultures. This helped facilitate natural conversations and two-way communication.

Not Just an Exhibition — Designing Triggers for Business
Nirik’s role in this project went far beyond basic coordination. Our strength lies in designing and executing initiatives with the clear goal of creating real business opportunities.

Whether supporting startup events or trade show planning, we focus not only on “setting the stage” but also on crafting mechanisms that generate concrete deals and collaborations.
Results and Feedback
Over 300 visitors attended the two-day event, and multiple demo and quote requests were received on-site. Importantly, conversations went beyond the featured products.
Some Japanese companies inquired not only about sourcing from Taiwan but also about introducing their own products to the Taiwanese market—highlighting a shift from “procurement” to mutual business exploration.
